Turkish Polimeks Company put an aerated concrete plant into operation in Ovadandepe village in the suburbs of Ashgabat, official Turkmen sources reported Thursday.
According to information, plant's annual capacity is 200,000 cubic meters, the cost of facility - $36.8 million.
According to source, the facility should be recouped within 2.5 years. The plant will operate at 95 percent with local raw materials, and its future products will possess the necessary properties such as thermal insulation, fire and earthquake safety.
Investor of the construction and owner of the future enterprise is the ministry of construction and building materials industry of Turkmenistan, which has received a loan for this purpose from the country's Central Bank.
