Adopting proposals on establishment of the Caspian customs union depends on the prospects for increasing trade in the Caspian Sea, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the CIS Financial and Banking Council of the CIS Anatoliy Kazakov said at the news conference. These proposals were voiced at the third International Conference on "Financial Institutions - the basis of structural modernization of the CIS economy" in Baku today.

"Given the powerful economic center of the wreath of transport corridors, and efforts to establish a Caspian regional financial center of the CIS countries, which will have offices in Almaty, Baku and Moscow, it would be better if the customs union among the three countries established first," Kazakov said.

The Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus began to operate from Jan.1, 2010 and the producers of the three CIS countries had the opportunity to move their goods - clothes, shoes, milk, meat, sugar, machinery, gas, energy, cars and etc. in the "triangle" of these countries without restrictions.
