Roughly 30-35 billion manat will be required for rehabilitation and construction of roads in Azerbaijan, Javid Gurbanov, director of "Azeryolservis", said.
"The process of road infrastructure in line with international standards will take 15 years," he said.
He said that 3-3,5 billion manat were spent for construction and road reconstruction for six years, of which one billion manat fell to the share of international borrowing, and the remaining funds were allocated from the state budget.
"There are 20,000 roads on Azeryolservis's balance, about 40,000 roads in the country, " Gurbanov said.
It is required to install 250,000 new road signs to improve highways in the territory of Azerbaijan, he said.
