GDP in Azerbaijani non-oil sector increases by 6 percent

In January-November 2010, Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 4.5 percent or 1369,4 million manat compared to the same period of last year, the State Committee on Statistics said. At current prices, GDP amounted to 36.6 billion manat. GDP per capita amounted to 4096,4 manats ($5101,4), increasing by 3.2 percent.

GDP production in non-oil sector increased by 5.9 percent and hit 42.4 percent in GDP in Jan.-Nov. 2010. Roughly 50.7 percent fell to the oil and gas sector (increased by 2.6 percent).

The total production volume in all sectors of the economy increased by 3.4 percent to 66,1 percent of GDP, where the main part - 53.9 percent of GDP (19.7 billion manat) accounts for the industry. Value added cost in services, manufacturing increased by 6.2 percent to 3.4 percent of GDP compared to the same period of last year.

During the reporting period, agriculture, hunting and forestry provided 1.8 billion manat, or 4.9 percent of the GDP; construction - 2.7 billion (7.3 percent); transport and warehouse - 2.2 billion manat (6 percent); communication and post service - 699.5 million manat (1.9 percent); social and other services - 4 billion manat (11 percent).
