15 percent of Azerbaijani imports from CIS countries accounts for grain

In January-November 2010, Azerbaijan imported from CIS countries goods worth $1.794 billion, accounting for 31.41 percent of total imports, the State Customs Committee (SCC) reported Saturday.

From the CIS Azerbaijan imported cereals (14.95 percent of total imports), vehicles (9.33 percent), machinery and mechanical equipment (11.05 percent), ferrous metals (7.05 percent) and wares from it (9.54 percent) and other products.
Azerbaijan exported to the CIS countries goods worth $1.815 billion (9.36 percent of total exports). The exports to CIS countries mainly included mineral fuel, oil and oil products, bitumen minerals (58.81 percent of total exports), ships, boats and floating facilities (9.63 percent), animal and vegetable fats and oils (8.28 percent ), sugar and confectionery products (5.97 percent), fruits (4.43 percent) and other products.
The black ink on import-export operations with the CIS countries for 11 months amounted to $21.629 million.
