Another int’l hotel brand comes to Batumi

Following the world-famous hotel brands Sheraton, Radisson, Hyatt and the Kempinski, another five-star international hotel brand, Ritz-Carlton, will be built in Batumi by late 2015.

The Georgian-Turkish Company, B&G Georgia, will build the hotel complex on the coastal park of Batumi, with approximately $250 million to be invested in the construction.

In accordance with the investor-state agreement, the investor is obliged to build and put into operation five-star hotel with no fewer than 300 rooms, as well as casinos and related infrastructure, spreading on an area of 9,805 square meters. Along with this, at least 90 percent of the hotel staff would be Georgian citizens.

In 2010, $147 million were invested in Adjara, which was five percent higher than in 2009.
