Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov instructed all heads of the ministry's departments to ensure the issuance of licenses and collection of fees in accordance with the legislation, the Transport Ministry said.
The Transport Ministry held a board meeting dedicated to the implementation of the National Strategy for increasing transparency and combating corruption, the ministry said.
The minister also noted the need to increase attention to further increase the transparency, the activities in combating corruption and bureaucratic obstacles, as well as increase control over transport security.
An enlarged meeting of the Committee on combating corruption was held in accordance with the President Ilham Aliyev's instruction on Jan.27, 2011 under the chairmanship of the Presidential Administration head Ramiz Mehdiyev.
