Several agreements to be signed within WIEF in Astana

A number of agreements is planned to be signed within the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana. The chairman of the Investment Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Assylkhan Serikov made it public on Monday, Kazinform reported.
About 10 agreements are expected to be signed. In particular, the Kazakh government plans to sign the Convention with the Saudi Arabian government to avoid the double taxation, the Memorandum of Understanding with the Islamic Development Bank and some other documents.
The 7th World Islamic Economic Forum will be held in Astana on June 7-9. Serikov expects the upcoming event to have a global impact.
This economic platform will gather people from 50 countries, he said. Among the issues to be discussed are investment attraction, regional trade, business management systems, Islamic finance development, the so-called halal-industry, food security etc.
About 10,000 foreign guests, mainly businessmen and international experts will attend the fourm, Serikov said.
