The Azerbaijani Civil Aviation Administration expects the Iranian Kish Air airline to submit a documentation regarding the provision of permits for flights on the Baku-Tabriz route, the administration told Trend.
The administration did not name the term of completion of the process of harmonization of documents.
The Iranian airline can perform flights following the approval of all documents.
Earlier, the Iranian Civil Aviation Administration appealed to the Azerbaijani side, defining a company that will operate flights on the route Baku-Tabriz. This company is Kish Air.
Earlier the representative office of the Kish Air in Tabriz reported that the first flight will be accomplished on Sept.20.
Head of the Tabriz representative office Nadir Javani said that flights will take place twice a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Some 100 people have already applied for tickets to the first flight, he added.
Ticket price is 250 U.S. dollars in both directions. Representative of the airline said that flights will take place on the routes of the Baku-Tabriz and Tabriz-Baku. They will be performed on the Boeing MD up to 150 passengers.
