Azerbaijani Transport Ministry will announce a tender to create a system of single payment cards in the public transport system in the second half of 2012, a source close to the project told Trend on Tuesday. He said the system will cover buses and Baku Metro.
"This will allow ensuring payment of fares in public transport, particularly in buses and the metro," the source said.
He said implementation of the project including the introduction process may take two years.
