The Dutch companies successfully operate in Azerbaijan in various spheres of economy and intend to develop this cooperation in new areas of non-oil sector, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan Arjen Uijterlinde told reporters on Monday.

He said the Azerbaijani government needs currently consultation on the development of such sectors of the economy, as agriculture, alternative energy and water economy, and the Netherlands is ready to render such assistance to the government.

New area, according to the ambassador, for cooperation between the two countries could be the alternative energy sector, and the Dutch companies have taken an active interest in this area.

The Ambassador noted that trade volume last year dropped to $ 150 million, but the Dutch exports increased.

Today, the Netherlands supply to Azerbaijan electrical equipment and installations in exchange for oil and oil products.
