Pakistan to increase level of economic relations with Azerbaijan

Political relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan have always been at a high level, economic relations should be increased to the level of political cooperation, Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar told journalists in Baku on Monday.
In her words, Pakistani government has set a goal to increase economic relations with Azerbaijan to the level of political relations.
Attention will be given to increase of trade turnover between the countries, Pakistani government have launched activities with Azerbaijani counterparts in this direction, the head of Foreign Ministry noted.
The meeting of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Foreign Ministers is held in Baku.
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation was founded by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey in 1985. In 1993 the organisation was granted observer status at the UN, and a year later, in the Organisation of Islamic Conference, now the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
