Azerbaijan International Mineral Resources Operating Co.Ltd (AIMROC) will begin preparing a feasibility study of the projects to develop two gold mines in the country by late 2012, director for sustainable development and strategic planning of the company Mustafa Mammadov told Trend today.

"This year we will begin preparing a feasibility study of the projects of developing Kehnamadan and Goydag deposits," Mammadov said.

He said that the explorations operations are being conducted at these fields.

"It is too early to speak about the production at these fields," he said.

AIMROC obtained the first gold in Azerbaijan in autumn 2012 from Chovdar field.

The agreement was signed between the Azerbaijani government and AIMROC (consortium consisting of Londex Resources SA, Willy & Meyris SA, Fargate Mining Corporation, Globex International LLP, and Mitsui Mineral Development Engineering Co. Ltd.) on December 30, 2006.

The Azerbaijani government will receive 30 percent of income from AIMROC as a result of implementing the projects of developing Garadagh, Chovdar, Goydag and Dagkesaman ore-bearing areas, Kohnemadan area and Kurekchay basin.
