Turkey to invest 20 billion lira in transport projects in three years

Turkey is planning to invest 20.3 billion lira in transportation projects between 2013 and 2015, according to a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Transport, Shipping and Communications of Turkey on Wednesday.

Turkey is planning to invest 20.3 billion lira in transportation projects between 2013 and 2015, according to a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Transport, Shipping and Communications of Turkey on Wednesday.

According to the report, 4.4 billion lira will be allocated in 2013 for the implementation of railway projects, 30 million lira - for the repair and production of vehicles, 180 million lira - for maritime transport projects.

In 2014, 7.3 billion lira will be invested in railway projects, 63.6 million lira - for repair and production of vehicles and 282 million lira - for maritime transport projects.

7.6 billion lira, 15.4 million lira and 248 million lira respectively will be allocated for the aforementioned projects in 2015.

The official exchange rate on March 11 is 1.8021 TRY / USD.
