German company to build solid waste processing plant in Kazakh Ust-Kamenogorsk

German Eggersmann Anlagenbau Kompoferm GmbH company, the administration of Kazakh city Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakh Center for Environmental Security and Kazakh Public council signed a protocol on building of a solid waste processing plant in Kazakh city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazinform reported.

The plant is scheduled to be launched in August 2014. Its capacity will hit 100,000 tons of waste per year.

The plant will cover an area of 4 hectares of the existing solid waste disposal in the Lesnoy village. The total investment for the project will hit 50 million euros.

The parties have preliminarily agreed on the water, heat and energy supply to the area planned for the plant, its sewerage and waste storage.

The technology which will be used at the plant has already been successfully tested in the countries of Western Europe, the Middle East, the Scandinavian countries and such CIS member-states as Belarus and Turkmenistan.
