Turkey’s exports decrease by over 8 percent

Turkey's export has decreased by 8.2 percent in ten months of 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 and amounted to $12.105 billion, a message from the Turkish Statistics Institute published on Nov.29 said.

According to the message, Turkey's import increased by 3.7 percent in ten months compared to the same period of 2012 and amounted to $19.48 billion.

According to the message, the export of Turkish goods to EU countries decreased by 0.2 percent in ten months compared to the same period of 2012 and amounted to $5.305 billion.

According to the Turkish Statistics Institute, the maximum volume of the country's export fell to Germany and amounted to $1.156 billion which exceeds the figure of the same period of 2012 by 4.8 percent.

The volume of import from Germany to Turkey amounted to $1.826 billion in ten months of 2013.

The message also said that import from China to Turkey increased by 13.2 percent compared to the same period of 2012 and amounted to $1.963 billion.
