Kazakhstan is planning to start production of its first domestic Nomad car in the Kostanay region, in the north of the country next year, Governor of Kostanay region Nuraly Saduakasov said at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the Kazakh President in Astana today.
"We intend to begin production of the first domestic Nomad car," he said. "The production of Toyota cars will begin from April 2014."
"The assembly of Ssangyong, Peugeot and Chance cars has been established," he said.
"As of 2013, about 7500 cars will be assembled," he said. "It is planned to roll 15,000 cars off the production line in 2014."
"Some 900 cars were assembled in 2011, while it was 2700 vehicles in 2012," he said.
