The flight schedule of the TurkmenHovaYollary (Turkmenistan Airlines) State National Service has been replenished by the new Ashgabat-Paris-Ashgabat flight, according to the national airlines' message.

The flights on this route will be conducted once a week - on Friday, the airlines said.

Comfortable Boing aircraft opened the flight between the capitals of Turkmenistan and France on Dec. 20.

"The demand for the new flight that received great interest of numerous domestic and foreign travel agencies, has been confirmed by almost 100 percent full board of the aircraft, which heads for the capital of one of the leading European countries," according to the national airlines' message.

The regular air communication has been established as part of the Turkmen-French bilateral agreements.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has recently said that "this step will strengthen the traditional Turkmen-French friendly relations and further enhancement of fruitful ties".

Turkmenistan and France last year celebrated the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. French President Francois Hollande, in a letter to his Turkmen counterpart wrote that "the constructive cooperation between France and Turkmenistan, built over the past two decades on the mutual trust, has tremendous growth potential".

French companies in Turkmenistan are presented in areas such as construction, transport, tourism and energy. The two countries are also interested in the project on delivering Turkmen gas to Europe. The possibility of constructing a gas pipeline through the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijan and its connection to trans-national projects in the European direction, are being considered.
