Uzbekistan and Tajikistan plan to hold the next meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, a source in the government circles of Uzbekistan told Trend.
The source said that the two governments reached a preliminary agreement on holding the meeting, the issues to be included in the agenda of the meeting are being worked out. It is expected that the meeting will take place this summer in Tashkent. The exact date of the meeting will be specified later.
In total, two meetings of the Uzbek-Tajik intergovernmental commission have been held so far -in August 2002 and in February 2009. Both meetings were held in the Tajik capital Dushanbe.
