Trading grew over 2 times on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange

The trading volume on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in all sectors of the market amounted to 52.451 trillion tenge ($ 283.191 billion) in January-July 2015 and increased by 2.3 times (2.2 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014, KASE said.

The trading volume increased by 75.2 percent (by 72.3 percent in dollars) compared to the previous seventh-month period (June-December 2014).

The volume of foreign currency trading on KASE, including currency swap transactions in January-July 2015 amounted to 40.117 trillion tenge ($216.596 billion) and increased by 2.4 times (2.3 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.

The volume of foreign currency trading on KASE increased by 86.4 percent (83.3 percent in dollars) compared to the previous seventh-month period (June-December 2014).

The volume of trading in state securities on KASE during this period amounted to 396.5 billion tenge ($2.143 billion) and decreased by 30.6 percent (33 percent in dollars) for the first seven months of 2015.

The volume of trading in state securities on KASE decreased by 40.6 percent (41.4 percent in dollars) compared to June-December 2014.

The trading volume on KASE amounted to 53.2 billion tenge ($286.2 million) in January-July 2015 and increased by 93.7 percent (84.7 percent in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.

Compared to June-December 2014, the trading volume on KASE decreased by 65.9 percent (66.6 percent in dollars).

The volume of trading in corporate bonds for the first seven months of 2015 amounted to 619.9 billion tenge ($3.334 billion) and increased by 7.3 times (6.9 times in dollars) compared to the corresponding period of 2014.

Compared to June-December 2014, the volume of trading in corporate bonds increased by 54.8 percent (51.2 percent in dollars).

The trading volume on the repo transaction market on KASE amounted to
11.264 trillion tenge ($60.832 billion) in January-July 2015 and increased by 2.1 times (2 times in dollars) compared to the same period of last year.

Compared to June-December 2014, the trading volume increased by 108.3 percent (98.2 percent in dollars).
