A new head of the National Bank has been appointed in Kazakhstan, the presidential press-service said.
Daniyar Akishev held this post in accordance with the Kazakh president's decree.
Earlier, Akishev worked as the head of the social and economic monitoring department of the Kazakh presidential administration and the acting assistant to the president.
Kairat Kelimbetov, the chairman of the National Bank, was dismissed in connection with his transfer to other position upon the Kazakh president's other decree.
