Baku, Azerbaijan, April 1
By Samir Ali - Trend:
The banks violate the rights of citizens in Azerbaijan, offering only dollar-denominated loans, Ramiz Rzayev, chairman of the Supreme Court, told reporters April 1.
He said that the banks resolve the issues related to the dollar-denominated and manat-denominated loans themselves.
"I think that if a citizen took a loan in dollars, he must pay it off in dollars," he said. "If the loan was issued in manats, it must be paid off in manats. There is such an order."
He said that while offering only dollar-denominated loans, the banks violate the rights of citizens.
"But the court can not interfere in the internal affairs of banks," Rzayev said.
