Car output volumes in Kazakhstan have increased since the beginning of 2016.
According to Kazakh Statistics Committee, car production sharply fell in the first months of the year - the country produced 327 cars in Jan, 0 cars in Feb, 101 cars in March and 550 cars in April. But since May car production has been resuming slowly. In May Kazakhstan produced 1,072 cars, in June - 933 cars, in July - 1,238 cars, in Aug - 1,954 cars, in Sept - 853 cars.
In January- Sept. 2016 car output dropped by 24 percent in Kazakhstan as compared to the same period of 2015, and stood at 7,028 cars, said the Kazakh Statistics Committee.
Minibus production decreased by 30.4 percent and stood at 103 minibuses during the period.
Truck production in Kazakhstan increased by 14.1 percent and totaled 1,201 trucks in the period.
Three large car plants - AZIA AVTO, SaryarkaAvtoProm and Agromashholding - operate in Kazakhstan. These plants manufacture Kia, Chevrolet, Skoda, Hyundai, SsangYong, Peugeot and cars of other brands. Kazakhstan produced 12,450 cars and 1,660 trucks in 2015.
