Kazakh postal operator intends to develop goods delivery between China, Europe

Kazakh postal operator Kazpost JSC plans to actively develop the delivery of goods between China and Europe.

The company has already signed agreements with Russian, Lithuanian, Polish and Turkish post services and have opened working points in Khorgos - Eastern Gate Economic Zone, where Chinese logistics companies hand over goods that Kazpost further brings to end-users in Europe and Russia, Kazakh Energy Prom reported.

Chinese experts estimate, that 200 million packages will be transported from China to Europe and 18 million will be delivered from Europe to China.

The company will expand its assistance to the delivery of postal parcels from Europe to China, and for this reason it established additional working points in Hanover and London.

Previously, the Chairman of the Board of Kazpost JSC, Saken Sarsenov forecasted the expansion of the e-commerce market by three times by 2020 in Kazakhstan. The company also closely cooperates with the global online retail giant Alibaba Group.
