Car prices in Baku increase

Average price in the Baku car market was 18,790 manats in December 2017, Nusrat Ibrahimov, director general of the MBA Consulting Group company, told Trend Jan. 11.
The expert said that compared with the previous month, the average price in the car market grew 12.18 percent.
The expert noted that in December 2017 alone, 2,038 cars were put up for sale in the car market of Baku.
“In comparison with the previous month, the portfolio of offers in the car market increased by 0.89 percent,” said Ibrahimov. “Majority (90.2 percent) of the cars put up for sale were cars with gasoline engines. This is while 9.8 percent of the car portfolio accounted for cars with diesel engines.”
Ibrahimov said that the average mileage of cars in the market in December 2017 amounted to almost 200,700 kilometers at a 2.17 percent growth for the month. The average age of cars was 14.4 years, which is 0.01 percent more than in November last year, he noted.
The expert added that the average annual wear of cars offered in the market was 5.23 percent.
“At the same time, the average annual wear of cars under five years of age was 10.39 percent, from 5 to 10 years - 8.84 percent, and older than 10 years - 4.8 percent,” Ibrahimov said.
