In January 2018, 53,257 citizens of the Central Asian countries, namely, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, visited Turkey, according to the report of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
According to the report, 11,180 Kazakh citizens visited Turkey in January 2018, which is 2,982 people more compared to January 2017.
In January 2018, 0.76 percent accounted for the share of Kazakh citizens in a total number of foreign citizens who visited Turkey.
"According to the report, in January 2018, 15,278 Turkmen citizens visited Turkey, which is 4,328 people more compared to January 2017,” the report said. “In January 2018, 1.05 percent accounted for the share of Turkmen citizens in a total number of foreign citizens who visited Turkey."
In January 2018, 15,304 Uzbek citizens visited Turkey, which is 5,670 people more compared to January 2017. In January 2018, 1.05 percent accounted for the share of Uzbek citizens in a total number of foreign citizens who visited Turkey.
According to the report, in January 2018, 8,657 Kyrgyz citizens visited Turkey, which is 2,723 people more compared to January 2017. In January 2018, 0.59 percent accounted for the share of Kyrgyz citizens in a total number of foreign citizens who visited Turkey.
"In January 2018, 2,838 Tajik citizens visited Turkey, which is 1,036 people more compared to January 2017,” the report said. “In January 2018, 0.19 percent accounted for the share of Tajik citizens in a total number of foreign citizens who visited Turkey."
According to the report, in January 2018, 1.4 million foreign tourists visited Turkey.
