Turkey to lay railway lines to all logistics centers

Railway lines will be laid to all logistics centers in Turkey, the country’s Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications told Trend March 28.

This will increase cargo transportation volumes, according to the ministry.

The work is underway to lay the railway lines to all the logistics centers in Turkey.

Presently, 50 transport and communication projects are being implemented in Turkey.

Over 139 billion Turkish liras have been invested for implementation of these projects until 2017.

About 49 percent of the total amount of funds spent in 2017 was allocated to the implementation of railway projects.

It is expected that over 180 billion Turkish liras may be additionally allocated for the implementation of 50 transport and communication projects.

Construction of logistics centers is also among the projects to be implemented.
