Uzbekistan determines criteria for antimonopoly strategy

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on measures to further improve antimonopoly regulation in commodity markets, the press office of the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Promotion of Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition said in a message on April 3.

According to the information, the document was adopted in line with the November 14, 2017 decree of the Uzbek president “On measures to improve competitive environment, eradicate conditions for abuse and theft in fuel and energy resources supply, reduce accounts receivable and accounts payable, and to drastically reduce list and types of monopoly products, ensuring transition to international principles of antimonopoly regulation”.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve antimonopoly regulation in commodity markets” provides for regulation on procedure for determining monopolistically high and monopolistically low prices for goods (work, services) sold on the commodity market and list of socially significant and strategic types of goods (services), prices (tariffs) which are subject to state regulation.
