Azerbaijan’s Balxurma company, engaged in production of dried fruits, jams and syrups, plans to significantly increase the production volumes, the company director for sales and marketing Rovshan Hajiyev said on the sidelines of the WorldFood Azerbaijan, Caspian Agro and IpackCaspian exhibitions in Baku on May 16.
He said this year the expected production volumes will amount to 300 tons and the company plans to produce 500 tons of products in 2019.
"To this end, we seek to increase the production capacity of our enterprise in Balakan by almost twofold, from 13 tons to 25 tons. The work will be completed in about two months. Also, it is planned to open a new enterprise," Hajiyev said.
Next year the company also seeks to expand the production line and produce new types of dried fruit, as well as fruit jams.
Balxurma launched its activity in 2016. The production capacity of the company is 20 tons per week. Currently, about 100 people work there.
