By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

The joint Kazakh-Chinese enterprise "GoldenCamelGroupLTD" LLP engaged in milk processing in the Turkestan region (in the south of Kazakhstan) plans to open a camel farm, Kazakh media quoted the Deputy Governor of the Turkestan region Erbol Taszhurekov as saying.

The deputy governor said that to date the plant for processing camel milk has been built and is being put into operation, but the owners of the production enterprise have faced a shortage of raw materials.

"The investor has very big ambitions for processing the camel milk - up to 100 tons per day. Therefore, there are some problems regarding milk supply. The plant needs a lot of milk, and it is in high demand. Due to lack of milk, the investor himself expressed desire to also open a farm for breeding of camels," said Taszhurekov.

The deputy governor noted that "100 tons of milk is a significant amount for daily processing, and therefore the great prospects are opening for the livestock farms".

In the future, the company plans to attract to production activity the farms of Zhambyl and Kyzylorda regions. The cost of the project for the construction of a plant for processing camel milk, which is implemented on the territory of the "Badam" industrial zone in Ordabasinsky district, is about 7.5 billion tenge.

At the same time, the "GoldenCamelGroupLTD" LLP plans to export 98 percent of its products to Hong Kong and Dubai.

The official exchange rate as of September 11 is 378.11 USD/KZT.
