Kawasaki Heavy Industries implementing major project in Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd Tatsuya Watanabe, the state news agency Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary (TDH) reported.

"Comprehensive modernization and diversification of the national economy, where bid has been made for attracting the best international experience and advanced technologies, opens up opportunities for fruitful partnership on a long-term basis," the message quoted the head of state as saying.

The sides exchanged views on prospects of joint partnership. In addition, the head of the Japanese corporation provided information about the construction of a plant for production of gasoline from natural gas in Akhal Region of Turkmenistan.

Thanks to high technologies this enterprise will become one of the most innovative in the world. The products manufactured by the plant will meet the highest international standards in terms of quality and environmental requirements.

In Ovadan-Depe, near the Turkmen capital, a plant for production of AI 92 fuel, with an annual capacity of up to 600,000 tons, is being built since 2015. The project, with the total cost of about $1.7 billion, is implemented by the consortium of Kawasaki (Japan) and Ronesans (Turkey).
