German company Meytec GmbH, which offers advanced solutions in telemedicine, is negotiating the supply of its equipment to Azerbaijan, the representative of the company Viacheslav Galchenko told Trend Oct. 22.

“Our company specializes in the supply of solutions in telemedicine. At the same time, we supply not only the equipment that we develop. We also implement turnkey projects, that is, we solve specific tasks in the healthcare sector,” Galchenko said.

Galchenko said the company is open to new negotiations with interested parties in Azerbaijan.

Telemedicine is the use of computer and telecommunication technologies for the exchange of medical information. It is one of the fastest growing healthcare segments in the world. By providing contact between medical experts and patients, telemedicine makes it possible to make a diagnosis in the remote mode.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in January-September 2018, the country imported optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring and observation equipment, as well as medical and surgical equipment and instruments worth $144.77 million, and exported similar products worth $8.37 million. Compared to the same period last year, the imports of the mentioned products grew by about 31 percent, the exports by 60 percent.
