After the airborne geophysical surveys in the Saqqez County of Iran's Kurdistan Province, 10 promising gold zones have been identified, Shata reported citing Deputy Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Kurdistan Province for Mining Affairs Mehdi Muradi.
According to him, the area has been closed for entry in order to explore the promising gold zones.
He added that airborne geophysical surveys have been conducted in the Bijar County of the province and six promising iron ore, gold and silver zones have been discovered.
The results of exploration in the Qorveh County will be announced by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21). Explorations are underway in the Divandarreh County.
