Hashtgerd subway station to be commissioned in Iran in 2019

Construction of 60,000 residential buildings in 14 new cities with private sector participation will begin until the end of this Iranian year (March 20, 2019), while the Hashtgerd subway station will be commissioned in the first half of next Iranian year, said Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Habibollah Taherkhani, Trend reports via ILNA.
He said the number of population in new cities has increased dramatically, adding that new city of Parand has 127,000 inhabitants.
“Four projects related to electric trains are being developed,” he noted. “The main is the Hashtgerd project. A 96 percent progress has been made in the project. As many as 1.4 trillion rials (about $33 million) are needed to complete the project. The project probably will be commissioned in the first half of next year.”
He said that 27,900 apartments will be commissioned in new cities this year on the occasion of the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, adding that 260,000 apartments have been commissioned so far.
