Uzbekistan to publish data on its gold mining
Baku, Azerbaijan, January 17
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the government to reveal data on the extraction and sale of gold in the country within a month, Trend reports via Sputnik News.
The corresponding decree of the head of state was published on the country's national legislation website on 21 January.
The document said the Cabinet of Minister will take measures to reveal the indicators of gold volumes produced and sold, within a month.
Mirziyoyev also instructed to optimize the staff number of employees in large enterprises in the mining and smelting industry.
Uzbekistan State Committee of Geology underlined that 63 gold deposits with more than 2500 tons of proven gold reserves were discovered in the republic at the end of 2011. However, later data were not disclosed.
