Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region reaches industry, agriculture growth of 6%

Governor of Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region Berdybek Saparbayev has summarized the results of the region’s socio-economic development in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.

"Growth has been achieved in all major socio-economic indicators. Our task for this year is to use all the reserves for the further development of the region and improvement of the welfare of the population," the governor said.

According to preliminary data, the industry grew by 5.6 percent in 2018 with the output worth 1.9 trillion tenge. Growth in agriculture was at the level of 6.2 percent, and the output totaled 228 billion tenge.

"The economy attracted 516 billion tenge of investments, a growth of 10.8 percent, which is the highest indicator for the region," Saparbayev said.

Over 900,000 square meters of housing has also been commissioned. The volume of construction work in the region increased by 9.5 percent, and more than 20,000 new jobs were created.

Saparbayev added that the 2018 budget was fully utilized, and the consolidated budget of the region received a record 535 billion tenge, an increase of 13 percent.
