Uzbekistan produces industrial goods worth over $27B in 2018

Enterprises in Uzbekistan produced industrial goods worth 228.9 trillion soums in 2018, which is 14.4 percent more compared to 2017, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was an increase in production in the mining industry and quarrying by 25.4 percent, manufacturing by 13.2 percent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 4.1 percent, water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal by 22.6 percent.

The output of the mining and quarrying enterprises in 2018 was worth 36.9 trillion soums or 16.1 percent of the total industry.

The manufacturing enterprises produced goods worth 175.4 trillion soums. There, the growth amounted to 113.2 percent.

The output of the enterprises producing electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning was worth 14.5 trillion soums or 6.4 percent of the total industry.

The output of the water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal enterprises amounted to 2.1 trillion soums or 0.9 percent of the total industry.

In the industrial output, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (18.6 percent), the Tashkent Region (15.3 percent), the Andijan Region (11.8 percent), the Navoi Region (9.9 percent), the Kashkadarya Region (6.2 percent) and the Fergana Region (5.6 percent).
