Recycling of old cars continues in Turkey

Recycling of old cars continues in Ankara, Trend reports with reference to the Ankara mayor’s office.
The cars produced in 1997-1998 are mainly recycled, according to the report.
A total of 390 old cars were recycled in Ankara in 2018.
“A total of 277 old cars were recycled in Ankara in January 2019,” the report said.
In accordance with the law, cars manufactured before 1997 can be recycled in the country and the recycling is not mandatory.
The government, in order to encourage recycling of old cars, pays their owners a certain amount of money depending on the condition and model of the recycled car.
