By early 2019, the number of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs registered on the Azexport.az web portal exceeded 2,000 people, Zaur Gardashov, head of Azexport, told Trend.
According to him, the number of entrepreneurs who applied for the "Single Export Application" service, which is based on a "Single Window" principle, has reached 200 people.
"This new service was first introduced globally in Azerbaijan and aimed at supporting mechanisms for exporting local products abroad. Moreover, the" Single Export Application" greatly facilitates the export activities of entrepreneurs. Due to this service, the procedure for obtaining permits for entrepreneurs working in the regions has become much more convenient, since it significantly minimized the contact between a civil servant and an entrepreneur when performing export operations," Gardashov said.
He also noted that the portal was created with the aim of promoting Azerbaijani goods and services through electronic trading platforms.
"This is a unique service provided by the state to entrepreneurs, primarily for promoting the export of local goods to foreign markets,” he concluded.
