Over 1.5M tons of goods unloaded at Iran’s Imam Khomeini Port

As much as 1.62 million tons of goods were unloaded in Iran’s Imam Khomeini Port in the Khuzestan province at the end of the second month of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Iraj Mudiri, deputy head for port and economic affairs of the Ports and Maritime Administration of Khuzestan Province, Trend reports with reference to the website of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Administration.

He said that the number of ships mooring at the port increased at the end of the second month of this Iranian year.

He added that the unloading of such a great volume of goods is considered a record and a special economic zone of the port is considered as one of the main gates in supplying Iran with the necessary products.

The previous record for the unloading of goods at the Imam Khomeini Port was recorded on Jan. 21-Feb. 19, 2019, when 1.53 million tons of goods were unloaded.
