The Code of Competition may be adopted in Azerbaijan in 2020, Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli told Trend.
According to Gasimli, work on the draft Code of Competition is at its final stage.
He also noted that judicial legal reforms should be carried out in the country.
"The head of state signed a decree on deepening reforms in the judicial-legal system in April. According to this decree, the judicial-legal system will be improved and a number of measures will be taken," Gasimli said.
Gasimli also thinks that it is also important to fully implement compulsory health insurance, which is expected in 2020.
The executive director recalled that the pilot project for compulsory health insurance which is being implemented in the country since late 2016 and currently covers the city of Mingachevir, Yevlakh District and Aghdash District, is showing considerable successful.
Further noting the importance of adopting a law on investment activity, Gasimli said that the law has already been prepared.
According to him, the law considers a number of measures for the development of investment activities and the protection of the rights of both foreign and local investors.
