Georgia receives 25 units of equipment from World Bank

The World Bank (WB) has transferred 25 units of equipment including special and computer equipment to Georgian Amelioration Ltd of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, Trend reports with reference to commersant.ge.

“The technology provided by the World Bank is very important for the effective implementation of the amelioration in Georgia. It is noteworthy that reducing of the number of irrigation canals or restoring their work will make the process more efficient,” said Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili.

Georgian Amelioration Ltd has been funded by the World Bank since 2015 with the goal of providing rehabilitation and technical equipment for the ameliorative infrastructure worth $45 million. The rehabilitation and rehabilitation of the main canals of the irrigation systems Kvemo Samgori, Verkhnyaya Ruisi and Tbisi Kumisi have been completed. Currently, design work is being carried out on the internal lines of these areas, which is to be completed by the end of 2019.
