New oil crops processing plant to be built in Kazakhstan

The oil crops processing plant is to be built in Kazakhstan’s Akmola region, Trend reports referring to press office of Kazakh Invest company.

The value of investments into the project equals $52 million.

The construction of a solvent-extraction plant is to be carried out in two stages. The first one includes organization of initial oil crops processing and manufacturing of unrefined vegetable oil. This stage of project is to be finished by December 2021.

Within the framework of the second stage, the construction of objects and infrastructure for oil refining and oil packing is envisaged.

The estimated annual output capacity of the plant equals to 1,000 tons of product. The plant is to process 300,000 tons of oilseeds a year and to manufacture nearly 120,000 tons of vegetable oil, as well as 110,000 tons of oil-seed meal used as feedstuff.

The realization of the project will allow to create 165 new permanent work places.

Overall, the realization of the project will allow to expand area of oil crops cultivation 1.5 times, as well as the manufacturing of oil crops by 600,000 tons. It is planned that 80 percent of the manufactured product will be exported to foreign countries such as China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Furthermore, oil-seed meal will be exported to Uzbekistan, Iran and Russia.
