Georgia, Czech Republic plan to implement new environmental project

Together with the Czech company and the National Environmental Agency of Georgia, Tbilisi will implement a new project in the field of systematic research in Chiatura city, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia.

The above project was discussed at the meeting between Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili with General Director of Water Dynamics Research and Determination "WATRAD" Michal Vanecek.

"Water research is the most important component of research-based understanding of complex environmental problems. We will implement a new project together with the Czech side and National Environmental Agency, that means to conduct a systematic research in the city Chiatura, which is a part of our action plan," said Davitashvili.

The project is funded by UNDP. A number of activities are envisaged to be implemented under the project, including, a complex research to investigate ecological problems, sharing knowledge and experience, providing recommendations etc.
