Tajik, Turkish investors make investments in Iran's Amirabad port

Investors from Turkey and Tajikistan are to invest in the gypsum and wood manufacturing facilities in the port of Amirabad in Iran’s northern Mazandaran Province, Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Organization, and of Amirabad Special Economic Zone Siyavash Rezvani told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to Rezvani, the volume of foreign investment in the port is about $9 million.

Rezvani added that investors from Iran's private sector have so far made 13.6 trillion rials (app. $323 million) of investments for constructing the production and industrial facilities of the port of Amirabad.

"Some 13 local investors have also applied for making an investment of 2.7 trillion rials (app. $64.2 million) to the port during the current [Iranian] year (started March 21, 2019). It is expected that these investments will be realized by the end of next year,” he said.
