Number of Iranian companies in Turkey increasing

In January-June 2019, 513 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey, which is 145 companies more compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey in January-June 2019 amounted to 68.117 million Turkish liras, while in the same period of 2018 this figure was 43.996 million Turkish liras.

In January-June 2019, the largest number of Iranian companies was registered in Istanbul (420 companies), with the aggregate capital of 50.455 million Turkish liras.

“During this period, 42 companies with Iranian capital were registered in the province of Antalya,” reads the report. “The total capital of Iranian companies registered in January-June 2019 in the province of Antalya amounted to 5.338 million liras.”

During this period, 15 companies were registered in Ankara, nine in Mersin, seven in Izmir, and nine companies with Iranian capital in the Van province.

“The remaining registered 11 Iranian companies account for the share of other provinces,” the report said.

In January-June 2019, two mining, 48 industrial, 18 construction, 233 wholesale and retail companies, 53 tourism companies, 24 companies for the sale of real estate, as well as one financial-insurance company with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey.

The remaining 134 registered companies with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The total capital of 233 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reported period amounted to 31.621 million liras.
