Azerbaijan’s Gunay Bank issues loans worth over 150M manats

On completion of the first half of this year, Azerbaijan’s Gunay Bank issued loans and leases worth 157.816 million manats, Trend reports with reference to the financial report of the bank.

The main share of the bank’s assets (92.6 percent) accounted for Baku. Loans issued in Baku amounted to 146.191 million manats. In Absheron district, loans were issued in the amount of 6.568 million manats, which is 4.1 percent of the total volume of assets. In Sumgait city, the volume of loans amounted to 4.902 million manats (3.1 percent). The share of loans in other districts of Azerbaijan doesn’t exceed 1 percent of the total volume of loans.

Of the total volume of issued loans and leases, the bulk of assets accounted for the construction sector (69 percent), amounting to 108.973 million manats. Among the remaining assets, a significant part (22 percent of the total volume) accounts for consumer loans, which amounted to 35.188 million manats.

Loans to the financial institutions amounted to 6.23 million manats (3.9 percent). The volume of loans in the agricultural sector amounted to 6.11 million manats (3.8 percent). The share of loans in other economic areas (trade and services, transport, etc) doesn’t exceed 1 percent and amounts to 1.314 million manats. The share of problem loans is 6.4 percent of the total volume or 10.106 million manats.
