In the framework of the implementation of the EPC contract for the construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant (Uzbekistan), the Russian MetProm group of companies has begun installation of the main technological equipment, Trend reports citing the press service of the company.
The company carries out the installation of a pusher type pickling unit, a reversing cold rolling mill, continuous hot dip galvanizing units and polymer coatings.
Basically, the installation of foundations at the facility and the preconditions for starting the installation of the main process equipment were completed, infrastructure facilities are being built, external networks are being installed, pipelines and energy carriers are under construction.
To date, the development, movement and installation of about 300,000 cubic meters of soil is completed, more than 70,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete structures and about 9,000 tons of metal structures are built.
The peculiarity of this project is that it is a Greenfield project. The specialists of MetProm Group are simultaneously assembling the main technological equipment and building infrastructure facilities: nitrogen and hydrogen stations, water treatment plants, treatment facilities, storage facilities, pipelines, roads and railways.
“We direct all our efforts to the high-quality implementation of technically and technologically sophisticated works on installing the main equipment and preparing the plant for industrial commissioning. To ensure the required pace of construction on the site, more than 1,200 workers and engineers and technicians have been involved around the clock, ” President of MetProm Group of Companies Andrey Deineko said.
