Ukrainian food producers will visit Georgia from September 10 to 12 to learn about trade opportunities in the country, Trend reports citing apsny.ge.

The mission is organized by the Ukraine Export Promotion Office as part of the EU4Business initiative. It will be attended by 23 companies specializing in baking, chocolate and chocolate products, processed fruits and vegetables, as well as dairy and meat products.

The purpose of the trade mission is to help Ukrainian small and medium enterprises enter and expand their presence in the Georgian market by establishing business contacts with potential partners in the country.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the EU’s Eastern Partnership region have the potential to create jobs and drive economic growth. Obstacles such as limited access to finance, burdensome legislation and difficulties entering new markets are hindering their progress.

The European Union’s EU4Business breaks down these barriers with finance, support and training to help small businesses realize their full potential. EU4Business support is delivered together with other organizations such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.
