Italian-American concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is interested in establishing industrial cooperation by creating a car manufacturing enterprise in Uzbekistan with foreign investment, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
FCA suggests using the TOFAŞ project in Turkey as a pattern for setting up a joint venture in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is seen as the preferred location for the creation of the enterprise for the production of Tipo, Fiorino and Doblo models under the Fiat brand, read the message.
TOFAŞ plans to start producing crossovers in 2021 and is working on the development of a pickup model, which can also be produced in Uzbekistan in the future, read the message.
